Running in at 50 minutes 'It's Time to Bounce, Amigo!' is a shorter and sweeter affair compared to the self-titled sister album released earlier this year. The goal this time around was to challenge myself a little bit and create an album with shorter catcher songs and have me singing on every track (no filler all killer!). I wanted to get this done before I moved to Miami so I was in a bit of a time crunch but I think I did a good job with the time and resources I had. I am especially proud of songs like melting world and the title track, really proud of how I layered my vocal harmonies on those tracks =D I was influenced more by punk and dance acts this time around with the likes of Pixies, Shellac, Lizzy Mercier Descloux, and Deutsch Amerikanische Freundschaft being on my mind when working on this project. I wanted this album to reflect my taste a little bit and show the breath of what I can do. It's a little proggy, It's a little industrial, It's a little groovy, and it's a little bit crass! To be honest my life since moving here has been pretty hectic so far with me trying to find a part-time job and going to FIU fulltime so I'm not sure when I'll return to the John Titor moniker. I want to integrate myself in the south Florida music scene and start collaborating with more people and doing that will obviously take more of my free time away. I feel obligated to at least release one more album under this stage name and wrap up things in a nice bow. Whenever I find my routine and settle in I'll hopefully be back running this time machine in a jiffy but we'll see. Only time will tell!
